Cincy's Finest! !

The Cincinnati Dancing Pigs is a rip-snortin' rootin'-tootin' old timey jug band. If you love to wallow in misery and self-pity and your taste in music runs to the bleak and bitter, the Pigs will make a mockery of everything you hold dear.

Cincinnati's Finest!

Since 1965, The World's Most Dangerous Jug Band has been based in the hill country of New Jersey. Originally formed as a college prank as a response to the puffery of prog art rock, and inspired by the jug bands of the folk scare of the 1960's, such as the Even Dozen Jug Band, Mother McRee's Uptown Jug Stompers, The Holy Modal Rounders, The Yardley Mountain Frog Stompers, and The Jim Kweskin Jug Band. Of all these groups, only one, clinging to and reaffirming the Darwinian thesis of 'survival of the fittest,' remains...The Dirdy Birdies Jug Band.

From the hills of Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Guaranteed Absolutely Pure, the Jake Leg Stompers present Pre-War Roots Music on period instruments in lively, authentic styles. Drawing on decades of historical research, the Jake Leg Stompers design their musical arrangements not simply to replicate old sonorities, but to evoke the very moods and atmospheres of musical experience before the dawn of the Second World War.
